Reserving for Vacations and Holidays at the REC

Reminder! The REC is committed to providing constant ABA programming, all year-round.  As many of our REC families know, this means support during school vacation weeks and some minor holidays. Due to the high demand, space for the vacation and holiday programming is limited and not guaranteed. In order to be considered for a spot, enrolled REC families must first complete the Vacation and Holiday Request Form and return to info@recreationaleducationcenter.com or to Mark Williams, Clinical Director.*

You may download the form by clicking on the below relevant link:

Press Release: REC’s Londonderry, NH Location Now Open

Recreational Education Center
Bridging the Autism Gap: Year Round ABA Programs, 7 Days a Week.

At the REC, families take comfort in knowing their child is in a safe and fun environment with the experienced, accepting and nurturing staff.

LONDONDERRY, N.H.

The Recreational Education Center (the REC) is a comprehensive program and resource for families with individuals, ages 3-22, with autism and related special needs. Each program is customized to fit the needs of the specific student and follows the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).  Insurance is accepted for the provided ABA Services.

The REC has been a huge presence in the community of Peabody, M.A. for the past three years.  Just last year the REC expanded the Peabody facility to include a Teen Center. Due to the demand for this quality ABA programming, the REC expansion has continued with the opening of the first REC New Hampshire located at 10 Mohawk Drive in the town of Londonderry.

ABA Programming at the new REC NH began October 21st and an Open House will take place on Thursday, November 6th from 4PM – 7PM. Families and professionals are welcome to tour the new space and speak with REC NH staffers about the various programs offered.

Recently, when asked why the REC was opened Owner and Executive Director, Tricia Woolard M.S.Ed., BCBA said, “I envisioned offering a year-round program that would be available to families seven days per week… The center today offers so much more than seven days per week of programming; it offers a truly specialized experience for all students. It has opened the doors for children with special needs to engage in similar experiences as their peers.”

The REC is designed to provide continuity of programming and bridge gaps in services that individuals with special needs require. The highly structured ABA programs promote generalization through Natural Environment Teaching. The REC encourages families to schedule a tour at the center or to spend a day at Open REC and see all of the services offered.

The REC has received raving reviews from families online:

  • “Great place to take kids especially on snow/rain days.”
  • “Wonderful staff, great facilities, and outstanding programs at the REC! My boys love it! I highly recommend it!”
  • “The REC has been a life saver for our family! Our son has been attending the REC for a few years. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful facility so close by! The staff are an amazing group of people.”
  • “My son had his first day of camp at the REC today! Have not seen such a big smile on his face in so long! He had such a great time! He can’t wait to go back Wednesday! Thank you all!”
